About News@iCLOD
News@iCLOD is a collection of news, sightings, photos and whatnot, which are considered as current-affairs-insensitive due to their timing and methods.

iCLOD can be loosely explained as "Insensitive Clod", which is a popular term used to criticize an insensitive person or incident.

The whole idea was sparked by the 2004 Tsunami, which killed at least 200,000 people in the Indian Ocean regions. Since then, many advertisements, events etc are (can be) considered as insensitive (mostly unintentionally) because they didn't take into account of the Tsunami tragedy.

While most of the news and activities are unintentional and harmless, we must not forget that we're now living in one big global village and whatever we do, others can see and feel it.

Hence this site is a constant reminder of how one should be considerate and look around oneself and think of the others.

It is important to point out that most insensitive items listed here are more about their bad timing than their nature/content. And since most stories are submitted by other readers, some of the "reporters" may be the insensitive ones instead of the "reportees" (eg an insensitive news criticizing other 'insensitive' incidents').

As a reader, you are encouraged to read about those news, discuss them and make your own judgement.
